About us
Viña Sierras de Bellavista is a family project, committed to the cultivation and production of premium wines with a sense of place. From a unique and particular origin, we give life to wines that stand out for their freshness, minerality and vibrant acidity, like the reflection of the mountain range and its waters. Since 2011 we have been making wines from our mountain vineyards: Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which today enjoy great recognition and admiration.
Origin
The Sierras de Bellavista vineyard emerged in 2011 with the conjunction of two people united by passion and conviction: Jacques Ergas and Camilo Rahmer. Both of them, Sierra natives forever and with their hearts set on contributing to the progress and enhancement of the place and its history, decide to undertake the challenge of creating the first mountain vineyard in the Colchagua Valley, with an unwavering focus on premium quality and wines with a sense of origin. After making the joint decision to undertake this challenge, the first technical studies showed that the characteristics of the soil and climate turned out to be optimal for the cultivation of cold climate varieties, such as Riesling, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
And time has proven them right. Today, a decade after that dream came to fruition, Viña Sierras de Bellavista is internationally recognized for the quality and originality of its cold mountain wines, pioneers and unique in their style in the Colchagua Valley. Currently led by Igal Ergas, the next generation in the management of Viña Sierras de Bellavista, this luxury winemaking project is preparing to consolidate itself as a vineyard with an international perspective, located at the foot of the majestic Andes, where its grapes are born in the magical conjunction of the landscape, its people and the passion for wine.
